Year 7 2024

Year 7 2023 welcomes you!

Welcome to Randwick Girls’ High School in 2024

Greetings to our newest members of our high school family! Randwick Girls’ High School would like to extend a very warm welcome to our prospective Year 7 students of 2024.

As you stand at the threshold of this new chapter in your educational journey, we're here to provide the guidance and support you need to thrive. Our school’s CARE Model emphasises the importance of Confidence, Acceptance, Respect and Excellence and our Orientation program reflects these core values.

Embark on the Journey: Orientation Program

Our comprehensive orientation program has been designed to ensure that your transition to high school is both supportive and exciting. Here's a glimpse of what awaits you:

SRC Primary School Visits: Our Student Representative Council (SRC) members will visit your primary school to share their own experiences and answer any questions you might have about high school. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a sneak peek into life here and learn from those who've walked the path before you.

Orientation Day: Get ready for a day filled with activities, workshops, and introductions! Our Orientation Day is all about helping you familiarise yourself with the campus, your fellow classmates, and the teachers who are here to support you. From icebreakers to a school tour, you'll leave with a newfound excitement for the adventure ahead.

Orientation Week 2024: Your first week of High School is designed to help you meet new friends, build confidence, and settle into the school. During the first week you will engage in various activities with your Year Adviser, teachers and Peer Support Leaders to ensure you feel comfortable in this new experience of high school. Additionally, you will engage in the Little Fish into Big Fish Program. The Little Fish into Big Fish Program ensures that every new student makes a connection as they navigate the exciting waters of high school life. Together, you will foster an environment of camaraderie, growth, and a sense of belonging, making sure that no fish is left to swim alone.

Peer Support Program: Building Connections

We're excited to introduce our Peer Support Program! Year 9 students have trained to be your mentors during your first year of high school. They'll provide advice, answer your questions, and help you settle in. Look forward to making friends who understand exactly what you're going through.

Year 7 Camp: Unleash the Adventurer in You

Get ready for an unforgettable experience at our annual Year 7 camp! A chance to bond with your classmates, try new activities, and create memories that'll last a lifetime. From team-building challenges to exciting outdoor adventures, our camp is a highlight of your Year 7 journey.

Your Year Adviser: Mr. Gonzalez

Meet your dedicated Year Adviser, Mr. Gonzalez! He's here to support you in every aspect of your high school life. From academic guidance to personal development, Mr. Gonzalez is your go-to person for any questions or concerns you might have.
